I made cookies with my daughter on Monday. She’d clap her hands while standing on the kitchen chair, watching everything mix together. She’d toss in measuring cups and spoons that I’d have to dig out before starting the Bosch again. Brown sugar got scattered across the counter. Then she nibbled on the beaters for half an hour afterward.
After the cookies had cooled, she gobbled bits down. Chocolate smeared all over her mouth and hands – hence also all over my carpet, couch, and ottoman. But I didn’t care, because she got so much delight from such a simple act fo eating a homemade cookie.

Sometimes I just open a bag of chocolate chips and eat them with my kids straight out of the bag. They love that (and so do I!)

Oh my gosh, those cookies look good! Grace’s is relaxing. Taking a step back from being busy. She feels so guilty doing it, though, sometimes she can’t even enjoy herself. And Nathan’s is Grace. Yep, he’s got it bad

Sam’s guilty pleasure seems to leave her as soon as her monster is gone, well, the pleasure part, that’s when the guilt kicks in. Other than that, her greatest pleasure is Andrew and dancing.
Drew’s greatest pleasure, guilty or otherwise, is making love to Talmage. She wants him all the time.
