CONFLICT CONTEST: LET THE VOTING BEGIN

Okay, you can see that I posted all 6 entries. They are all good, and the voting is now open.

Just read them all and post MY VOTE IS FOR______ in the comment of this post for the one you are voting for. One vote per reader please.

And feel free to leave comments about what you liked about the piece or any helpful feedback, in their post. If you aren’t voting for a piece, you can still leave comments.

Thank you ahead of time for taking the time to vote.

How does voting work for those who entered? I’m assuming we shouldn’t vote for our own, but would it be best not to vote at all? Even if I can’t vote, I’m still going to read through the entries and make comments. :)

My vote is for number 6. Fresh and confident, I’d think any reader would keep turning the page.

Everyone is free to vote. :)
Except me. I’m chickening out, seeing as I’m friends with all who entered. Heehee. No one else gets to chicken out of their vote. Only me.
And vote for whoever you rightfully think deserves it. :)

I don’t blame you for not wanting to vote, Sarah. I’d be chicken to pick between friends too! :)

Since I don’t know the writers who entered, I’d be glad to vote.

So without further ado, my vote is for Entry #2.

My vote is for #2.
I think it shows conflict the best w/in just that scene – w/o a setup of any sort.

Definitely # 2.

I loved number 2 and 6. Since I can choose only one I am going with number 2. If anyone who entered reads this comment you all wrote a great conflict! They were all very fun to read. Good job!

Well, Ms. Eden said I couldn’t chicken out. So I went through and read them all again, trying not to look past the submitted parts, since I’ve read most of the manuscripts that go with these.
This was a really hard choice, because like I said, I know more than is there.
But I’m going to have to go with #6. For me, it felt more urgent.
They were all really good though, and there wasn’t one entry that I didn’t love.

My vote is for #6. Very nice job building tension and suspense!

I am also voting for number 6. Great writing!

Wow, I’m really surprised my vote is not the same as everyone else’s. I loved #4! I’m big on internal conflict and this one was laden with it. Great job everyone- and Joyce. Good luck!
